Founded in 1933, and still in the same family ownership, Swansea Timber and Plywood are very well known both locally and nationally for our huge stocks and good prices. We have everything the woodworker, tradesman and DIYer could possibly need. Most of our stock is on display in our large store, and our experienced and knowledgeable staff are here to help you select what you need.

We have over 15,000 stock lines available in store. Our tool department is an Aladdin’s Cave for the woodworker (and many other trades come to that!). Huge ranges of hand tools are on display, as well as all your cutters, bits, discs etc.

In our Timber Section, you will find softwood, hardwood and sheet materials. We stock wood carvings, stair parts and doors, all of excellent quality. We also have a workshop where our machinist can produce bespoke mouldings, as well as cutting your purchases to size if required.

Our Hardware Section is similarly well stocked, with door hardware and cabinet fittings as well as all the fixings, adhesives and wood finishes needed to complete your projects. Our stock of mechanical and digital locks is second to none and we have in-house MLA Registered Locksmiths to advise you as well as carrying out lock repairs, key cutting, lock fitting, master keying etc.

So whether you need a handful of screws or new doors and door furniture why not give us a try – you won’t be disappointed! And don’t forget, if we haven’t got what you need, we can probably get it within a few days.
